Druid Ace shots

Postby pwurz » Mon Jan 04, 2010 12:44 am

Hey everyone, I'm new here, been playing Druid several times a week for a couple months, I hit my first ace on 7 Metal today in the 30 mph winds! I was the only one out there so I felt the need to brag a little  What holes have you guys aced recently?

i got 12E (across the road) from the metal a while back. i do like to point it out. it was during the notorious fox and hound round of 27 with 3 aces for 3 peeps. i aced 12E, pat m aced 14A and neil aced 6A in that order in the same round.

the second weirdest ace happening that i've witnessed was norm bouncing it off of 2 trees then into the chains on 12C (short right in the woods) then no spin hitting an ace on the very next hole (13B).
thursday night triples at druid hill dgc draws 2 hrs prior to sunset. come one, come all.

that kangaroo stole my disc!

Yeah, it figures my first ace ever happened on a day that I was the only one brave enough (or stupid enough) to be out there! Oh well, I will remember that beautiful sound as long as I play!

I aced hole 19 (temporary hole @ the Druid Hill Open). Didn't put any monies in the ace pot but recouped a few bucks from metal mania. I'll never make that mistake again.

I also aced hole 2 A pin in a DoFitness tourney. I lovingly refer to that ace as a "plinko" ace as it wasn't the greatest shot but bounced off 3 trees on its way to the chains.

The best thing about that ace from my perspective was that I yelled something about the trees on your release!! I am still taking partial credit due to a great heckle

Are you sure you didn't have hot sauce on your hands and the trees were tossing the disc around like a hot potatoe, and it was thrown in the basket to get rid of it............

How Hard to Ace at Druid?

Postby Turbo » Wed Jun 23, 2010 5:41 pm

Based on TNT so far this season, Druid is a lot tougher to ace than many people think, especially when the pressure is on. Karl (Wit a K) aced in week one, and Lugo aced last week. In between, there were more than 9,200 drives during Triples without an ace. That's about 0.01%.
